Buddha teaches us that the tests are good Dharma.  

佛祖教導我們，考驗就是好的教法。

Most Venerable Master Zhi-Ji Vimalakirti Maha-Thero, the Supreme Patriarch of Tantrayana Buddhism and President of World Buddhist Sangha Youth as well as the Spiritual Leader of World Buddhist Sangha Youth.

最尊貴的大師、智及維摩詰大長老，怛荼羅佛教的根本宗師、 世界佛教青年僧伽協會會長以及靈性導師。
Venerable Sir, and brothers and sisters in Dharma.

尊貴的先生，法內的兄弟姐妹們。
Now I would like to thank you Master for giving me this opportunity.  We are born I different parts of the world.  I’m born in Sri Lanka of South Asia .  Some of you are born in China of North Asia .  Some of you born in Australia and Tasmania .  Some of born in America , Canada , Europe, the Middle East ; different parts of the world.

我希望感謝　師尊給予我這個機會。我們在世界上不同的地方出生。 我是在東亞的斯里蘭卡出生的。你們有些人是在北亞洲的中國出生， 有一些是在澳洲和塔州出生。有一些在美國、加拿大、歐洲、 中東出生，世界上不同的地區。
What are our differences?  Some are tall, some all short, some are fat, some are thin.  I’m Black.  Some are White, some are Yellow.  We are from different parts of the world, different races, different ways of thinking.  But our goal is the same.  Our target is one.  

我們的區別是什麼？有些高、有些矮；有些胖、有些瘦。我是黑（ 皮膚）的。有些是黃（皮膚），有些是白（皮膚）。 我們來自世界上不同的地區，不同的種族，不同的思維方式。 但我們的目標是一樣的。我們的目標是統一的。

We are students from birth until death.  We are born in a material world and learn about materialism.  We collect education, we collect the money, we collect the house, we collect the property, we collect the children, grandchildren and students.  But in the end we all die.  What can we bring into our next life?  We leave it all in this life and cannot take it with us.  However, we still like our hand, like our face, and our body.  In the end when we go they all stay here.  

我們從出生至死亡之時，都是一名學生。我們出生在物質的世界， 學習有關物質的知識。我們積累教育，積累金錢，積累房子， 積累物業，積累孩子、孫子和學生。但最終我們也會死亡。 我們可以把什麼帶到來世呢？我們都把這所有留在這一輩子之中， 不能把它們帶走。但是，我們依然喜歡我們的手、臉和身體。 最終當我們離開時，它們都被留在這裏。

But there are two things we bring with us.  We do good things in this life then in the next life we bring back good things.   We do bad things in this life then in the next life we bring back bad things.  This is what we call karma: good karma and bad karma.  We need to bring good karma from this life to the next life, and not cultivate bad things; we need to forget bad things.  We do not need to collect money, property or children, but instead we need to collect more merits.  You can see an example in our Master, he’s living this life for us.  In previous life our Master did many great services for the people, and so in this life our Master has become a leader for the people.  If you offer a lot of good food to people or animals in your previous life, then today you will get a lot of good food.  

但是，有兩個（東西）是我們將會帶去的。我們在這生中做的好（ 善）事，那麼在來生中我們帶回來好的東西。我們在這生做的壞事， 那麼在來生中我們帶回來壞的東西。這就是我們稱之為的業： 善業和惡業。我們需要將今生的善業帶到下一生， 而不是培養壞的東西；我們需要忘記壞的東西。 我們不需要積累金錢、物業或孩子，而是需要積累更多功德。 你可以看到，我們的　師尊就是一個榜樣，祂為我們而活這一生。在過去世，我們的　師尊為人們作了許多巨大的服務，所以在這一生，　師尊就成為了人們的領袖。 如果你過去世供養很多食物給其他人們或動物， 那麼今天你就會得到很多好的食物。

Do you know why they say America , Australia or Europe are the best countries, and some are not so good?  It is because the leading countries did good things in previous life, and so this life they have a good living standard.  We must cultivate good karma.  Buddha teaches that we must have good behavior, and then you can cultivate a good life.  

你知道為什麼他們說美國、澳洲和歐洲是最好的國家， 而有些國家不是很好嗎？因為這些領導的國家在過去世做了好事， 所以他們今世便有好的生活水準。我們必須積累善業。　佛祖教導，我們必須有好的行為表現，那麼你才能培養出好的生命。
Master Bhagavan Zhi-Ji  Vimalakirti, He is not only your great Master, but actually a great Master for all of Buddhism.  He was born in China and came to the Southern part of the World and takes Buddhism to all parts of the world.  We very much appreciate His work.  We are different traditions, but we are brothers.  One family with different brothers, and our Master is like a great brother.  We call this great brother our Tantrayana brother.  And I am called the Theravada brother.  Another we call Mahayana brother, and then also have a Vajrayana brother, and then we have another brother called Zen.  These five brothers have different sons, for example Vajrayana has Kagyupa, Karmapa, Ningmapa, Gerupa, they are the sons of Vajrayana.  Even the Theravada brother has two sons.  They are called Dharmaute  (長老部) and Mahamikaya (大眾部) .  Vajrayana and Mahayana even have different sons, even Taiwan you can see 佛光山、千佛山.  The same for Korean Zen, Japanese Zen and Vietnamese Zen.  About Tantrayana I do not know much.  

薄伽梵　智及維摩詰　師尊，祂不僅是你們的偉大的大師，也是所有佛教的偉大的大師。 祂在中國出生，然後來到世界的南面， 再將佛教傳到世界不同的地方。我們非常欣賞（感激）祂的工作。 我們是不同的傳統，但我們都是兄弟。一個有不同兄弟的家庭，而　師尊就像我們的大哥哥。我們把這位大哥哥， 稱為我們的怛荼羅的兄弟。而我就稱為上座部的兄弟。 另一個我們稱為大乘的兄弟，我們亦有一個金剛乘的兄弟， 然後又有一個兄弟稱為禪。這五個兄弟有不同的兒子， 例如金剛乘有噶舉巴、寧瑪巴、格魯巴，他們是金剛乘的兒子。 就是上座部兄弟也有兩個兒子。他們是稱為長老部和大眾部。 金剛乘和大乘甚至有不同的兒子，你在台灣可以看見有佛光山、 千佛山。韓國的禪宗也是一樣，有日本禪和越南的禪。 對怛荼羅佛教，我則知道不多。

我們需要慈悲， 我們需要謙遜，我們需要容忍，那樣我們就更容易得到一切。

我們的　師尊就是一個榜樣，祂為我們而活這一生。在過去世，我們的　師尊為人們作了許多巨大的服務，所以在這一生，　師尊就成為了人們的領袖。

現在WBSY有四十六個成員國 。這四十六個是不同的家庭，不同的兄弟和不同的孫子，但我們為W BSY選領袖的決定是圓滿的。昨年在台灣的大會後， 我們在二月於泰國的法身寺舉行了行政會議。我們沒有邀請　師尊，因為要一天從澳洲到曼谷的旅程太遠，因為太令人疲累了， 所以沒有這個必須。所有不同的傳統都決定　師尊是我們的靈性導師。　薄伽梵　智及維摩詰　師尊是我們偉大的領袖。

薄伽梵　智及維摩詰　師尊，祂不僅是你們的偉大的大師，也是所有佛教的偉大的大師。 祂在中國出生，然後來到世界的南面， 再將佛教傳到世界不同的地方。我們非常欣賞（感激）祂的工作。
