Chinese New Year Eve Celebration Dharma Meeting

Master Wang,

Thank you for having us here, and a very happy Chinese New Year to each and everyone one of you.

王師尊：

感謝您邀請我們來到這裡，並希望您們每一位渡過一個非常愉快的中國新年！

There are so many dignitaries here tonight, I don’t have the time to be able to welcome everybody individually. But this unique group of people who have come together to help celebrate Chinese New Year with Master Wang and the Buddhist Community shows what an impact this community has had on Tasmania.

今晚那麼多位達官貴人在此，我沒有時間對每一位，一一致以歡迎。但這一群不尋常的人聚在一起，跟　王師尊及佛教社團一起慶祝中國新年，顯示出這團體對塔州的影響力。

The Buddhist community and Master Wang particularly have been great contributors to the Tasmanian Community, and that warmth, and love, and affection that they have shown us is what we return tonight as we help celebrate the Chinese New Year.

這佛教社團，特別是　王師尊對塔州社團貢獻良多，他們對我們所顯示出的温暖、愛心和關愛，正是我們今晚一起幫助慶祝中國新年之際的回報。

And what a new year it will be, with the Year of the Water Dragon. A year of flamboyance, a year of new beginnings, a year of good fortune. As Master Wang has said, we have faced some challenging and difficult times and those times are still there for us to reach forward and grasp, and make the best we can of them, but there is also a lot to look forward to in the future.

水龍年將會是怎麼的一年呢？它是華麗的一年、嶄新的一年、幸運的一年。正如　王師尊所開示，我們曾面對一些挑戰和逆境，這些艱難的時間仍在，讓我們跨步向前和把握，並從中盡我們所能做到最好。而同時我們對未來有很多的憧憬。

There is a lot of good fortune that we have here in Tasmania and we mustn’t lose sight of that. And part of that is the community that we are, and the community that we are is the community that is made up of many different peoples, and it is fantastic to see how we embrace our multicultural communities here in Tasmania, of which this community is a very important part of it.

在塔州這裡，我們很有福氣，這是我們不能忽視的。其中一點就是我們所擁有的社區，我們的社區是由很多不同的人所組成。能看見我們欣然接受多元文化社會在塔州，實在是很美妙的事，而這［佛教］社團是非常重要的一部份。

So Master Wang, a Spiritual Leader, has chosen to live here in Tasmania and to spread his words to his followers from here. That in itself is quite an important mark in terms of how he sees and views this community, and the contributions he wants to make towards it.

所以　王師尊，作為信眾的靈性導師，選擇在塔州這裡居住，並從這裡開始，對祂的追隨者弘揚教義，這本身就是祂對這個社區如何看待和觀察，以及祂所想對這社區所作出的貢獻的一個挺重要的標示。

So it is our opportunity to thank you again Master Wang for all of what you do for Tasmania.  I have personally very much enjoyed the opportunities that I had to meet with Master Wang, and look forward to many more of those meetings over this Year of the Water Dragon.

因而，這是我們再一次感謝　王師尊為塔州所付出的的良機。我個人來說非常享受與　王師尊相聚的機會，希冀在水龍年中會有更多這樣的相會。
